| Dear Rutland GP Colleague, The recent Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Local Medical Committee (LLR LMC) Board elections have now concluded. We received no nominations from a Rutland GP within initial electoral period, so the seat is currently vacant. However, in accordance to the LMC Constitution, we require there to be a Rutland GP Board Member which can be co-opted or a by election if vacant. At the October LMC board meeting, the Board agreed to run a further nomination/election for the Rutland Seat. Only GPs working in Rutland in their main role (as Partner, Salaried or Locum) are eligible to submit a nomination for this vacant seat. We are therefore reopening the nomination process and invite expressions of interest from eligible GPs connected to a Rutland practice. About the Role: LLR LMC represents and supports general practice across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We are seeking a committed and motivated GP with an interest in helping shape and support local general practice. Board members serve a four-year term, with half of the Board elected every two years to ensure continuity of leadership and representation. The successful candidate will join the LLR LMC Board and contribute to the strategic direction and work of the organisation on behalf of local GPs. Who Can Stand?
