Infographics: Why cant I get an appointment with my GP?

The LMC has continued to look at how we can support practices who are often stretched and working at unsafe limits.

Although we try and discuss the issues with our PPGs and patients, we appreciate that too often they do not understand or accept the truth that the problem with general practice is due to government underinvestment and policies rather than GPs.

We have published the following and shared with Practices, Press, MPs and key stakeholders:

Why cant I get an appointment with my GP? report which highlights the state of general practice in LLR underpinned by facts using data from the government and NHS England.

Posters and other media to help which practices can use to get this message across.

Press release: “Today, the LMC has issued a report demonstrating that the root cause of the parlous state of general practice is due to a decade of underinvestment and poor government policies” says LLRLMC

We are also arranging a summit of local MPs, other politicians and decision makers next month to discuss the findings and possible solutions.  If we have places available, we will open them to practices.
