PREMISES COSTS DIRECTIONS 2024

After being delayed for many years, the replacement of the Premises directions 2013 has been replacement by The National Health Service (General Medical Services Premises Costs) Directions 2024.

There are many minor changes, and the most significant is that the maximum reimbursable for premises improvements has been increased from 66% to 100%.

Until such time as NHS England starts to provide ICBs with ringfenced appropriate levels of funding, these improvements, whilst welcome, will not make any positive difference.

If you are currently considering or planning any change to your premises please ensure that you, your professional advisors, and the ICB are working from the revised directions.
