New/Retiring GP Partners

It is important that practices ensure they consider notifying the appropriate organisations when GP Partners are joining or leaving a practice. We have tried to develop a list of key contacts for practices/Partners to inform of upcoming changes within the Partnership:

  • ICB (Contracts team) - The ICB will be able to start the process for a contract variations and can be contacted on llricb-llr.contractingadmin@nhs.net
  • Primary Care Support England (PCSE)
  • CQC
  • Medical Defence Organisation
  • Practice accountant
  • Patients of their named GP as the retiring partner (this can be opportunistically)

We have attached a couple of checklists which can be used as a reference to support practices.
