Free Wellbeing workshops open to all

The LMC is constantly hearing from our members that they have seen a considerable rise in patients calling their GP to talk about their mental health and wellbeing since the Covid19 pandemic.

GPs can signpost patients to the free wellbeing workshops highlighted below.

I am writing to tell you about an exciting new partnership between The Melton Clinic and Wellbeing4Life which will allow us to bring you a whole range of services designed to support your physical and mental wellbeing!

The team at Wellbeing4Life will be offering a number of services through The Melton Clinic starting with three FREE wellbeing workshops which will be delivered via Zoom to you in the comfort of your own home.

I cordially invite you to attend all or any of these workshops which will provide real evidence-based information and advice about how to find energy and calm and to feel amazing! It is also a great opportunity to meet the team and find out more about how they can help you on your journey to health and wellbeing.

Workshop 1: The Foundations of Wellbeing
Thursday 19th November 7pm-9pm

There is so much we can do to help us to feel energised, positive and healthy and it all starts with laying the right foundations. This workshop will look at the four simple pillars of wellbeing and how to start putting small actions in place today to kick-start or boost your journey to wellbeing.

The session will provide evidence-based tips and advice and we promise no quick fixes, fads or gimmicks!

Who should attend? Anybody wishing to feel better, more energised, more positive and to live life more fully!

Workshop 2: Managing stress and anxiety and building resilience.
Thursday 14th January 7pm-9pm

In the busy 24/7 world in which we now live it is unlikely that we can avoid stress, particularly in these current worrying times. Short bursts of stress can be good for us and keep us motivated. However, when stress becomes chronic it can have a huge impact on our quality of life, relationships and health.

This workshop will make sense of what happens when stress occurs and offer proven techniques for managing our stress response and building resilience against overwhelm. We’ll also touch upon symptoms of anxiety and offer practical steps for managing busy, anxious minds.

Who should attend? Stress really can affect any of us at any time so whether you suffer with stress regularly or wish to build resilience against stress overwhelming you this workshop is for you.

Workshop 3: Sleep – How to get it and keep it
Thursday 11th February 7pm-9pm

Lack of sleep can make us feel rubbish! We might struggle to concentrate, lack energy and it can zap the joy from our days. Furthermore, ongoing lack of sleep can cause serious physical and mental health conditions such as depression, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

This workshop will explore why sleep is so important and what we can do to increase the amount and quality of sleep that we get.

Who should attend? Anybody who would like better quality or longer sleep and who struggles to sleep from time to time or more often: that’s probably most of us!
